Abstract:
There has been increasing interest in utilizing administrative health data to achieve various scientific goals. Censoring and truncation issues arising from analysis of administrative health data are particularly challenging. We will present a recent project on tackling the issues with loosely structured models and using readily available supplementary data. Records of the mental health related emergency department visits generated from an administrative cohort will be introduced to motivate and illustrate the statistical research. This presentation is based on joint work with Rhonda Rosychuk (University of Alberta) and Yi Xiong (Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center).

The Canadian Statistical Sciences Institute (CANSSI) Saskatchewan HSCC is designated by CANSSI and comprised of researchers and trainees from the University of Saskatchewan and the University of Regina.
