2016 Student Conference of the Canadian Society for Epidemiology and Biostatistics

Invitation to Participate as an Abstract Judge

Canadian Society for Epidemiology and Biostatistics Student Conference 2016

The 2016 Student Conference of the Canadian Society for Epidemiology and Biostatistics (CSEB) will be held at the University of Manitoba from June 8-10, 2016. The call for abstracts for poster and oral presentations opened on December 1, 2015. We invite you to participate as a judge in the abstract review process.

We anticipate more than 200 abstracts will be submitted, each requiring peer review. We will need approximately 100 judges to participate in the review process. The abstracts will encompass a wide range of topics in epidemiology and biostatistics, including chronic and infectious diseases, causal inference, environmental health, health services, behavioral and genetic epidemiology.

The Student Conference is an important opportunity for undergraduate and graduate students and post-doctoral fellows from across Canada to network and learn. Please contribute your time to ensure the success of this conference.

Each judge will review a minimum of two abstracts using a standardized set of evaluative criteria. All reviews must be completed between March 4th and 18th, 2016.

Please e-mail csebwpg2016@gmail.com indicating your willingness to participate in the review process. Be sure to put the phrase “Abstract Judge” in the subject line of your e-mail.
